Some things are too important to be run for profit.
For decades, governments have underfunded and privatised public services, selling off things we all rely on to corporations whose priority is making money.
Enough privatisation. It’s time to put essential services back in public hands.
Publicly owned services can put people before profit, keep prices down and make sure everyone can access the basics they need:
- dental and mental health through Medicare
- free childcare
- fully funded public schools
- free TAFE and university
- affordable, publicly owned electricity
Australia is a wealthy country. We can afford great public services by making billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share.
Stop privatisation. Rebuild public services. Put people before profit.
