Hi I'm Gavin!
I work casually with an environmental consultancy, having worked on construction projects across Melbourne scrutinising the housing development boom and Big Builds. I've spent the majority of my life in Thomastown and have lived through the long-term neglect of these suburbs. Thomastown is a deeply multi-cultural, working class electorate, getting hit hard by cost of living pressures such as housing affordability, groceries and fuel.
We need real policy and action to help our communities afford a good life through public grocery stores, cutting stamp duty, building public housing, rent caps, returning energy provision to public hands, stopping AI data centres and funding arts, culture and environmental initiatives.
I'm running to revitalize the outer north and to support the development of our communities in a truly sustainable, ecological and community-centred way.
