Hi I'm Jess
I am a mental health worker, a proud queer woman and a fierce advocate for systemic change. I was born and raised in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and I want to be a positive voice in our community and deliver fair, inclusive policies to address housing unaffordability and cost of living.
I have 6+ years of advocacy experience, working alongside LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse and multicultural communities to improve work health and safety and healthcare outcomes for those most in need. When it’s harder to keep paying our rent, there’s less time to foster our connections and spend time with those we love most. With better public housing, access to transport and healthcare we can make Bayswater a place where we can thrive together.
In addition to my advocacy, I petitioned Parliament for ADHD prescribing laws to be changed, sponsored by MLC Sarah Mansfield, which has resulted in real change to legislation and to people's lives.
I am running a campaign for Bayswater which is inclusive and driven by the need for real change in our communities.
